You can trust Diablo Solar’s team of professional installers to do the job right the first time. We have installed more solar systems in the East Bay than any other company and have over 223 years of combined solar experience. For 40 years we’ve been researching, developing and providing customers with the very best solar products since 1984.

The Founders

Phil and Tim started installing solar systems in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970’s. For almost 40 years they pioneered the solar installation industry and with the creation of Diablo Solar Services in 1984, personally installed and managed more than 21,000 solar systems; more solar than any team in the history of the Bay Area. Phil and Tim retired in 2015, but still keep a close relationship with the current Diablo Solar team and are a vital resource for current owners Bryan Raymond and Mike Powers.

Bryan has worked with the Diablo Solar team for almost 20 years and with partner Mike Powers, purchased Diablo Solar in 2015. Bryan is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and has helped develop many of the solar design, sizing and financing standards currently used by much of the solar industry. Bryan has personally designed over a thousand solar systems and has his very own solar-electric system on his house in Brentwood, where he lives with his wife Alison and two children, Mason and Lilyanne.

Mike has been a valuable part of the Diablo Solar team for over 25 years, and jumped at the opportunity to partner with Bryan Raymond to purchase the business in 2015. Mike started installing solar on roofs as a teenager and steadily worked his way up to Installation Supervisor and eventually Installation Manager of the solar-electric department before taking over ownership of the company he helped build. Mike is fully certified with NABCEP, SunPower, Pentair, Hayward, National Electric Coding, Enphase, SMA and QuickMount. Mike lives in Martinez with his wife Sarah and children Hailey, Alyssa and Danny.

Mike has been with Diablo Solar since 2001, installing new pool solar systems and servicing existing pool solar, domestic hot water (DHW) and photovoltaic solar-electric systems. Mike’s specialty is troubleshooting and maintaining existing solar systems and he manages all of the Technicians in the Service Department.

Michael Scott

Michael has personally designed thousands of solar and energy systems over the last two decades and leads the Diablo Solar design team in designing new pool solar, PV solar-electric and battery back-up energy storage systems. Michael also specializes in “R&R” systems where we REMOVE and REINSTALL solar systems for re-roof purposes.

Dave had Diablo Solar install both his pool solar and PV solar-electric systems on his home in Benicia back in 2008. He enjoyed his Diablo Solar experience so much that he joined the Diablo Solar team a year later. He designs both pool solar and PV solar-electric systems and is an expert in working with homeowners in Napa, Solano and Contra Costa Counties.

After 8 years of solar, battery and electrical installation experience, Travis is now responsible for the permitting and code compliance of all Diablo Solar electrical installations. He helps train our current team of installers and makes sure that all installations are installed correctly and operate perfectly.

Brian Guintu

Brian has been installing solar systems for Diablo Solar for over 25 years. He leads and manages our entire installation department and is expertly trained in pool solar, swimming pool equipment, PV solar-electric, battery back-up and all things electrical. Brian is directly responsible for all new installations, all removal and re-installations (re-roofs) and all PV and electrical service work.

Lance runs the Diablo solar Petaluma office and all of our installations and service in Napa, Marin and Sonoma counties. Lance has been with diablo solar for over 20 years total, and specializes in removal and reinstallation projects.

Paige runs the Diablo Solar Martinez office and helps handle the hundreds of phone calls, emails, and text messages that come to diablo solar every week.
